Somm Summ: 2008 Nino Nino Negri Valtellina Superiore Inferno

Here is a juicy wine to keep you warm on a cold winter night. Made from 100% Nebbiolo, this is a great alternative to Langhe Nebbiolo. Smooth and delicate this wine is like silk on your palate. I had some simple simple pizza and salad and the easy style if this wine was a perfect partner. Acid is a little racy but not out of control, so would say have this with any starter or early meal items. I would like to try with some meat, something braised perhaps with a rich but simple sauce.
