Somm Summ 6/16/12: Josep Foraster Trepat, 2010
Located near Montblanc, in the region of Conca de Barbera (this is all in Spain), this family owned estate produces small amounts of indigenous varietals. Trepat is more often used for local rose and cava wines but here it is bottled as a varietal. Quite lovely with a peppery nose that carries to the palate. Smooth, somewhat delicate fruits - berries and such - round out the flavor profile. Quite good wine from an out of the way location. About $20, retail.
