VintageVino Pick of the Day: Excelsior Shiraz, 2006 - South Africa

Today's VintageVino Pick of the Day is a great tasting shiraz from South Africa: Excelsior Estate. Excelsior Estate is a label produced by the De Wit family, who are now in the fourth and fifth generation of ownership (since 1859) of their land in the Robertson region.
The things that attract me to this label again and again are the fact that the Excelsior wines are very well made, are always satisfying when I drink them and cost relatively little money (this shiraz sells for about $10) - and those of course are some of the most important reasons to buy a wine (in my opinion).
