BIG REDS at Sonoma Wines
I want thank everyone who attended tonight's tasting event - I think we tasted some very outstanding wines and had the opportunity to discover some new bottlings. Here is the list from tonight's event:
Red Car Box Car Syrah Sonoma Coast, 2007
Perrin et Fils Chateauneuf du Pape, 2005
Four Vines Zinfandel Biker Paso Robles Westside, 2006
Gaja Ca' Marcanda Promis, 2006
Sequoia Grove Napa Cabernet Sauvignon, 2005
Veraison Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Stagecoach Vineyard, 2004
All-in-all a very strong line-up of wines. There were a lot of good questions throughout the evening and each of these wines sold at the end, which is always the barometer by which we judge the success or failure of the event. All the wines sold and many with great volume. The most popular (by sales numbers) were the Four Vines and the Sequoia Grove (again, see my entry below). Also strong showing from the Box Car, Veraison and the Perrin.
