 - Pale straw color
 - Vanilla pod, white chocolate, allspice and lime aromatics

Maximin Grunhauser Abtsberg Kabinett, 2001
- From the great 2001 vintage!
 - 7%
 - More mineral tones on the nose than the above wine, with some of what people call petrol, but to me this wine is more sea salt and fresh air - like standing in the middle of a cold stream on hot summer day
 - slightly leaner on the palate than the last wine, but big and flavorful - spices
 - quite rich feel, pears and berries, good intensity and fleshy fruit
 - longish with very rich flavors - very good

Dr. Loosen Urziger Wurzgarten Spatlese, 2005
- I am a particular fan of Ernie's wines - I will actually be visiting him in early May 07 - see my upcoming report
 - 8%
 - Pale gold
 - Big nose with loads of sea salt and spices - quite "clean" aromatics - limes
 - Very big and rich on the palate
 - loads of fruit with peaches and strawberries, flowers and a bit of light honey (but not late harvest honey - flowers)
 - long finish, very easy and pleasant
 - juicy - not too heavy on the acidity, though
