  • Pale Straw color
  • pervasive nose of peach and nectarine jumpin' from the glass
  • Juicy, fresh and mineral flavors
  • Not rippin' high acid, but quite pleasant and quenching mouth structure
  • Tasty and cheap!

La Vieille Ferme Rouge Cotes du Ventoux, 2005

  • Purply, garnet color
  • Sweet, juicy, meaty, herb scented
  • Blackberry and chalky flavors on the palate
  • Touch of grip on the finish

Porcupine Ridge Sauvignon Blanc SA, 2006

  • Very pale in color
  • Quince, lemon and spice (incence?)
  • Mild acidity with chalky flavors and some intense SB flavors
  • Green apple and lemon-peel
  • Not as over the top as NZ-style
  • Easy drinking

Domaine Weinbach Riesling Schlossberg GC, 2005

  • Pale gold
  • Smells like the woods on a winter day - fresh, minerals and a touch of pine (?)
  • Rich on the palate
  • Minerals, petrol and pear
  • A bit lighter than expected but nice fruit - very elegant
  • Lengthy - very good.
